Shark Navigator Lift Away Pro Review
August 8, 2012 by Deal ProThe Shark Navigator Lift Away Pro is one of the newer vaccums on the market that claims to never lose suction. Since coming no the scene several years ago, the Shark brand has taken the housecleaning market by storm. There are a number of items available in the line, but by far the Lift Away Pro blows away most other vaccums on the market, including the Dyson.
Priced far below other vacuums that claim to never lose suction, the Lift Away Pro can be found online at prices ranging from $150 to $200. Comparable vacuums from other brands can cost upward of $400. This is one aspect of the Shark brand that makes customers happy and loyal.
The Lift Away Pro comes with a number of attachments. Crevice tool, long reach tube, dust brush, rotating upholstery brush, and a hard floor duster. All of the attachments can be carried on-board the vacuum, but this can be awkward due to the placement of the tool carrier. The tool carrier sits on the vacuum tube/handle and can fall off if the user is not careful when detaching the tube/handle to reach high areas such as the ceiling.
The large canister can hold quite a bit of dust. This makes it easy to clean more than one room. The high suction may fill the canister more than once during initial use as the Shark removes dust left behind by other vacuums. This is normal and will lessen over time as the Shark reduces the amount of dust left in carpets.
There are several filters in the vacuum. One sits directly below the dust canister and needs to be cleaned once every three months with normal use. However, if the large filter is very dirty it should be washed more frequently. This will prevent overheating. The vacuum will shut down automatically if the motor overheats and will not turn back on until it has cooled off.
The Shark has received many 4 and 5 star reviews on Amazon.com and many other websites. This author’s personal experience with the Shark Navigator Lift Away Pro has been stellar. The Shark outperforms every other previous vacuum owned. The vacuum is used multiple times daily in a household of 5 children, 3 adults, and two medium sized dogs. Not once has the Shark overheated or clogged. It performs as well as the day it was purchased.
Compared to the Dyson and the Oreck brand, the Lift Away Pro outperforms them both. For a budget conscious person, this is the best choice hands down. The Oreck vacuum compared to this Lift Away Pro was $699.00 and the Dyson was $479. The Dyson left dust behind that the Lift Away Pro picked up easily while the Oreck clogged repeatedly. For cleanliness and price you can’t beat the Shark!
