The steam bottle can be used on many different surfaces from clothing to hard countertops. The steaming will deep clean and sanitize all surfaces without using harsh chemicals. The bottle holds about a cup (8 ounces) of water. This allows the steamer to be used for longer periods of cleaning compared to other steam bottles.
Compared to other steam bottles, the Shark does a good to great job depending on the amount of dirt, the type of dirt, and where it is located. The attachments can be hard to attach and detach. In some uses the attachments would fall off, most notably when used with the short connector hose. This can be unsafe as the steam can burn skin.
The attachemtns that fit directly onto the steam bottle’s nozzle do the best job of blasting away dirt and grime. Caked on grease is removed much easier than with a scrub brush or cloth. If the grease or dirt is very heavy, it will take multiple passes with the nozzle and steam, but the results are worth the time it takes to remove the dirt.
The product does a mediocre job on cleaning windows and other glass surfaces when used with the squeegee attachment. There are streaks left behind - this will need a dry cloth to go behind the steamer to remove the streaks.
Mold and mildew is completely destroyed by this tool. It is wonderful for cleaning any area that has mold or mildew, especially grout in showers. Crevices around faucets and sinks are cleaned very well by this tool.
Painted surfaces will respond well to cleaning with this tool, though care must be taken when cleaning any painted surface. The steam can blow away or melt paint. The steam bottle must be held a few inches away from the surface.
Stains on countertops can be removed with the steam bottle. Drink mix stains, some rust stains, and scuff marks can be totally removed. Stains on cutting board and grime inside cut marks can be cleaned very well.
The Shark Steam Bottle performs the best in kitchens and bathrooms. For cleaning a toilet, nothing beats this tool. It removes dirt and sanitizes at the same time. For a sanitary bathroom, this is the one product that blows away the competition.
